Gasoline Direct Injection (GDI) brought a new level of efficiency and performance to modern vehicles, but it also introduced new diagnostic and maintenance challenges. Carbon buildup in the intake system led several manufacturers to develop dual injection systems, combining the benefits of port injection and direct injection to improve performance, fuel economy, and intake valve cleanliness.
