Stop Getting Beat Up by Supplements, Delays, and Pushback - Part 1
This two-session webinar installs a repeatable, human-driven system for producing (outer panel surfaces focus) repair plans that are both technically correct and stakeholder-ready.
Session One June 9th: Builds the evaluation foundation (see it the same, say it the same).
The outcome is not “better estimates.” The outcome is defensible repair decisions that reduce replacement bias, reduce rework, improve cycle stability, and increase trust between the shop, the customer, and the insurer.
After completion you will be able to:

Distinguish an estimate from a repair plan and explain why repair plans are decision documents (not line-items).

Intent-based lighting for consistent visualization anatomy mapping (crowns / tension / stretch / locks / buckles) severity classification and access constraints

Differentiate elastic vs. plastic deformation and identify primary damage zones and associated deflections.

Foundation: intent-lit, five-angle photo sets (before / during / after)

Middle: evaluation workflow report + REAP notes (Explain + Align captured per panel)

Capstone: QC checklist + OEM documents + approvals trail (packaged and cross-linked)

Kelly Roberts is a Collision Repair Technologist, Trades Mentor, and lifelong craftsman with nearly four decades of hands-on experience in the collision repair and restoration industries. He brings a deep-rooted passion for craftsmanship, continuous learning, and mentorship.
Trained under his father—a retired 310B Heavy Collision Repair Technician—Kelly carries forward a generational legacy of excellence in the skilled trades.
His career spans collision repair, custom vehicle restoration, aviation, watercraft, and recreational vehicles. He holds an Interprovincial Red Seal Certification (310B Structural Repair Technician), is multi-vendor certified in refinishing, and has earned numerous I-CAR certifications. Over the years, he has mentored countless apprentices, many of whom have gone on to become licensed Red Seal technicians.
As Performance Engineering Director and Lead Skill Development Coach at Betag North America, Kelly focuses on technical education, linear production integration, and skills-based coaching—helping technicians unlock their potential and elevate their craft.
