Description:
Right to Repair Update:
Right to Repair is one of the most important issues facing your shop right now, and it is moving fast.
Join MAACA as we host a live update from Jennifer Keaton, Director of Government Affairs at the Auto Care Association. Jennifer tracks both federal and state Right to Repair efforts and will walk us through where things stand today, what is at stake for independent shops, and what comes next.
As vehicles become more connected, vehicle data is increasingly sent directly to manufacturers, who control who gets access and at what cost. By 2030, roughly 95% of new vehicles sold globally will have this wireless connectivity. If nothing changes, manufacturers gain the ability to decide who fixes their vehicles and what it costs, putting independent shops at a serious disadvantage.
The REPAIR Act (H.R. 1566) recently advanced to a full congressional committee hearing, making this an ideal time to get a clear picture of what the legislation does and how you can support it.
What we will cover:
MAACA Mondays is free and open to everyone, members and non-members alike.

MAACA Mondays is free and open to everyone, members and non-members alike. We believe access to good information should not depend on membership status. The more people in our industry who stay informed and engaged, the stronger we all are.
