Yet in the meantime, there are a lot of legal details and best practices to know to best position your business for success. Our discussion will focus on basic HR systems, areas of liability, and a general overview of employment law.

About the Speaker:
Joel Cullum is Senior Vice President with SESCO Management Consultants in Bristol, Tennessee having been with the firm for 27 years.

Joel provides senior-level consulting in all areas of human resource management, with specialties in compensation program administration, affirmative action, equal employment opportunity issues, executive screening, and general human resources consulting. He regularly conducts management training seminars and serves as a guest speaker for individual clients, state, and national trade associations. He is featured in SESCO’s Human Resource Instructional Series DVD. Additionally, he is a certified trainer for Vital Learning Corporation.

The variety of client engagements and daily interaction over the course of Joel’s career enables him to provide a practical, tested approach to nearly any employment issue. Joel has represented clients in unfair employment practice charges before state and federal agencies including the OFCCP, DOL’s Wage and Hour Division, and the EEOC.

Joel and his wife reside in Bristol Tennessee where he is active in charitable organizations and social issues.
